Disable auto launch of iTunes / iPhoto / ImageCapture on connecting iDevice to Mac

Most of the times, when I connect my iPhone or iPad or iPod to my Mac, I am facing a problem that iPhoto & iTunes start jumping & hangs my system for few seconds.
That really irritates me. Just because, I am plugging in my iPhone or any other devices to test the applications or games. So, I may need to connect & disconnect many number of times.
Each time I see, itunes or iPhoto icons jumping & which makes my me angry.

So, I worked around & tried to figure out the solution for disabling auto-launch of this applications.

Disabling auto-launch of iTunes when you plug in iDevice.

1. Open iTunes.
2. Open iTunes menu & go to preferences.
3. Switch to device tab & enable check-mark as illustrated in image below.

Disabling auto-launch of iPhoto when you plug in iDevice.

1. Open iPhoto
2. Go to iPhoto Menu & then select Preferences option.
3. Set ‘No Application’ as illustrated in image below.

Disabling auto-launch of Image Capture when you plug in iDevice.

1. Open Image Capture.
2. Connect your device & set the property as illustrated in image below.

  1. Does not work in 10.6.x Snow Leopard. For that you need to launch Image capture and set the preference (an iPhoto one nonetheless) there. Whomever decided it should work that way should be sterilized and cast into a volcano for his idiocy!
