Development iOS Apps Wireless Installation – Problem of “Can’t connect server”

One of the site and for distribute your application for testing where you upload your application and provide simple URL to share that application.

Same thing you can also implement into your application share internal testing or Enterprise distribution.

Few days back facing problem to same type of Development iOS Apps Wireless Installation
But facing error like “Could not connect to server”, Then I start doing R&D for how it’s work and found one solution which is mentation into below.

In-house apps installed using an MDM solution are explicitly trusted and will no longer prompt the user to trust the developer that signed and provisioned the app. If your enterprise app does not use an MDM solution, users who install your app for the first time will be prompted to trust the developer. All users who install your app for the first time will need an internet connection.



Here I using dropbox for store ipa and .plist file store because dropbox provide direct URL and also travel using SSL certificate that’s why I selected dropbox if your site is working on ssl i.e https then you can directly use those file

Step 1 : Build your app from xcode using Build and Archive option.





Step 2 : Open dropbox account and upload .ipa file and generate public URL.



Step 3 : Now generate manifest.plist for application.
Now open xcode and Goto  window > Organizer






Name : Application name
App Url : The fully qualified HTTPS URL of the app (.ipa) file i.e your dropbox public .ipa URL
Display image URL : A 57-by-57-pixel PNG image that’s displayed during download and installation. Specify the image’s fully qualified URL
Full Size Image URL : A 512-by-512-pixel PNG image that represents the app in iTunes

Step 4: Now Upload the manifest.plist file into dropbox and create HTML and work into localhost.

Now upload manifest.plist and upload into dropbox and generate public URL copy it.
Then Open XAMPP and start Apache server and Goto > /Applications/XAMPP > create now folder “diwai”
Create new html file and paste following code into the html file.

In diwai folder you need to put provision profile which you sign your application.

Now connect with your device open safari and then “your apache server IP”/diawi then tap on “Install Team Provisioning File” to store the provision profile into device.

Then tap on “Install Application” to instal the application.


Now press home button go out side of safari where you can show the download process of your application.
